Getting started
What is Geerho now?
Geerho Tech LLC is a software company. We make apps for local businesses, sold by monthly subscription with no commission on your sales: iOtomates Resto (restaurants and food trucks), iOtomates Wash (laundry, car wash and moto wash) and, later, Xenpen. The Geerho app is the home of those apps: one sign-in for all of them, plus private messages between verified members and with Geerho's team.
Who makes Geerho?
Geerho Tech LLC, a California limited liability company formed on October 17, 2026 (Secretary of State file no. B20260466446), listed with Dun & Bradstreet under D-U-N-S® Number 150-006524. You can look up both yourself: in the app, Profile → Settings → About Geerho Tech LLC, or on geerho.com/about.html.
What is a Geerho account?
One sign-in for all our apps. In any of them, tap Continue with Geerho; the first time, you create your account with Apple, Google, or GitHub, then you go right back to the app.
Does each app see everything about me?
No. An app you continue to gets your name, verified email, Geerho user ID, level and profile photo. Each app keeps its own account and data.
How do I change my profile photo?
In the Geerho app: Profile → Edit Profile → tap your photo (or Change Photo) → Choose from Library or Take Photo. On geerho.com: Account → Profile photo → click your photo or Change photo. The photo opens already centred on your face; drag to move it, pinch (or use the slider) to zoom, or tap Reset to auto, then Use Photo. It shows as a round photo in all our apps (Geerho, iOtomates Wash, iOtomates Resto and Xenpen), and you can change it from any of them. Remove Photo, in the same menu, takes it off everywhere.
Does Geerho cost anything?
No. Your Geerho account and the Geerho app are free. Our business apps are sold by subscription, monthly or yearly, at the price each app shows, and every subscription is paid on geerho.com/billing.
Which phones can use Geerho?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or newer, and Android phones and tablets with Android 8.0 or newer. geerho.com works in any up-to-date web browser. A few features need a newer phone: on Android, passkeys need Android 9 or newer (sign in with Apple, Google, or GitHub on older phones), and on iPhone, translation needs iOS 17.4 or newer.
My phone is too old for the app
The Geerho app needs iOS 17 or newer on iPhone and iPad, or Android 8.0 or newer. On an older phone, use geerho.com in your browser instead, with the same Geerho account: your account, Community and billing. To keep it on your Home Screen like an app: on iPhone, open geerho.com in Safari, tap Share (the square with an arrow), then Add to Home Screen; on Android, open it in Chrome, tap the menu (three dots), then Add to Home screen or Install app.
Why do I need a username?
You choose a unique username the first time you sign in. It's how other people find and recognize you on Geerho. The Geerho app is for people 18 and older.
I used the old Geerho marketplace app.
Your account there still works, and its pages are at old.geerho.com. You can delete it in that app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account) or by emailing us.
Messages
Who can I message?
Once your identity is verified, you can message any other verified member: find them in Messages → Find People or open their profile. Anyone signed in, verified or not, can message Geerho's owners and Geerho Support.
Why do I need to verify my identity?
Everyone who messages other members verifies their identity with a government ID and a quick selfie. It keeps fake accounts and scammers out, and verified people show a green Verified badge. Verifying is free and takes about 2 minutes: Profile → Settings → Identity Verification.
What happens to my ID and selfie?
Our verification partner, Didit, checks them; Geerho never sees or stores your ID images or face data. From your ID, Geerho keeps only your legal name, date of birth, the address printed on it (private to you), and a scrambled, one-way code made from your ID number. The code lets us make sure each person has only one Geerho account; it can't be turned back into your ID number. See our Privacy Policy for details.
What can I send in messages?
Text, photos, videos, voice messages, files, stickers, Genmoji, Memoji, and locations. Tap + next to the message box for Photos & Videos, Camera, File (PDFs, documents, spreadsheets, presentations, or ZIPs up to 50 MB), or Location (move the map to choose the spot). Tap the microphone to record a voice message. Touch and hold a message to react, or double-tap it for ❤️. Everything you send is private to the people in the conversation, and we remove the location stored in photos and videos.
Can I reply to a message from the notification?
Yes. On iPhone, press and hold a message notification (or swipe down on it) and tap Reply; on Android, tap Reply under the notification. Message notifications also show the sender's name and profile photo when message previews are on (Profile → Settings → Notifications & Sounds).
What are the suggested replies in chats?
When the other person writes, Geerho may show a few short replies above the message box. Tapping one only puts it in the box; you decide whether to send it. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence and on Android they're made on your phone. Geerho never sends a message for you.
Can I delete a message?
Yes. Swipe left on a message to delete it for you, or touch and hold one (or choose Select) to pick several, then Delete; swiping left on a chat in Messages deletes the chat. These delete it from your view only: the other person keeps theirs. On your own messages, Delete for Everyone removes it for both of you, and it shows as “This message was deleted.” To protect members from scams, Geerho keeps a private copy of deleted messages and attachments for 1 year that only moderators can see when reviewing a report, and that we share with law enforcement only with valid legal process. See our Law Enforcement Guidelines.
Can Geerho translate a message?
Yes. Touch and hold a message and choose Translate. On iPhone (iOS 17.4 or later) Apple translates it on your phone; on Android, Google's on-device translator does (the first time, it downloads that language once).
Safety
How do I report a person or a message?
Touch and hold the message and choose Report, or open the person's profile and choose Report. A trained Geerho moderator reviews it, usually within 24 hours.
How do I block someone?
Open their profile or your conversation with them and choose Block. They won't be able to message you, and blocking removes follows both ways. Manage blocked people in Profile → Settings → Blocked Users.
I think I'm being scammed. What should I do?
Stop replying, report the person in the app, and contact Geerho Support (Profile → Settings → Contact Support) with any screenshots. Never send money, gift cards, or codes to someone you met online. If you lost money, also contact your bank or payment provider and file a report with local police or the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov.
Account and privacy
How do I change my username?
Open Profile → Edit Profile → Username. Usernames are 2 to 30 letters, numbers, or underscores. You can change yours once every 30 days, and your old username is held for you for 30 days so nobody else can take it.
Can I sign in with Apple, Google, and GitHub on one account?
Yes. Each person can have one Geerho account, and you can sign in to it any of those ways. If they use the same email address, they're linked automatically. Otherwise, go to Profile → Settings → Sign-in Methods and link the others.
Can I sign in with a passkey?
Yes. Once you're signed in, go to Profile → Settings → Security → Add a Passkey. Next time, tap Sign in with a passkey and use Face ID, Touch ID, your fingerprint, or your screen lock (on Android, passkeys need Android 9 or newer). Your passkey lives in your password manager (iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager). You can remove it any time in Security.
How do I turn on two-step verification?
In the Geerho app (iPhone or Android), go to Profile → Settings → Security → Turn On. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password, and others), or on your phone tap Add to Authenticator App, then enter the 6-digit code it shows. Save the 10 recovery codes we show you somewhere safe, like a password manager. From then on, signing in asks for a code from the app.
I lost my phone with my authenticator app. How do I sign in?
Sign in as usual, then choose “Use a recovery code” and enter one of the recovery codes you saved. That removes your authenticator so you can get in; set it up again in Settings → Security. If you don't have your recovery codes either, ask for account recovery (below).
Can I lock Geerho with Face ID or my fingerprint?
Yes. Go to Profile → Settings → Security and turn on App Lock. Geerho then asks for Face ID, Touch ID, your fingerprint, or your screen lock each time you open it. It's a setting on that phone only, and your face or fingerprint never leaves your phone.
I lost access to how I sign in. Can I get my account back?
Yes, if your account completed ID verification. Sign in a new way, and on the “Your Username” screen tap I Lost Access to My Account. Send a photo of your ID and two recent proofs of address, and add your WhatsApp number. A moderator checks them and schedules a short WhatsApp video call, where you sign your name three times on blank paper. After at least 72 hours, a Super Admin moves your new sign-in onto your account. Your documents are deleted when the request ends.
Someone asked to recover my account, but it wasn't me. What do I do?
Open Settings and tap This Wasn't Me. The request stops right away and moderators are alerted. We never hand over an account without checking ID, address, and a video call, and we always wait at least 72 hours.
Why does Geerho keep my home address?
It's private: it's never on your profile. If your ID shows your address, we add it when you verify, and it helps us confirm who you are if you ever need account recovery. To change it, go to Profile → Home Address and add the new address with 2 or 3 recent documents that show your name and the address. A Geerho moderator checks them, and the documents are deleted once they're reviewed.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your Geerho account, profile, photos, and messages and can't be undone. It doesn't delete your accounts inside our other apps; delete those in each app. You can also email support@geerho.com from your account's email. What's deleted and what's kept, and for how long: geerho.com/delete-account.html.
Does Geerho sell my data?
No. We don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising, and we don't track you across other apps or websites. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I access or delete my data?
In the app, go to Profile → Settings → Contact Support and choose the reason “Privacy request,” or email support@geerho.com. California residents and people in other regions have specific rights described in our Privacy Policy.
How do I contact Geerho?
In the app, go to Profile → Settings → Contact Support. Choose a reason; you can attach photos, screenshots, a voice message, or a PDF. We reply in Messages under “Geerho Support,” usually within 1–2 business days. Everyday questions may get a quick first answer from the Geerho Assistant, an AI that answers from our User Handbook and FAQ and says it's an AI; reply and a person takes over. Questions about your account, verification, safety, reports, privacy, or legal matters always go straight to a person. You can also email support@geerho.com or call or text (619) 796-1115.
App features
What is Community?
Geerho's place for ID-verified members to connect, talk and share honest opinions, including reviews of our apps (good or bad, they're always welcome). Only verified members can see posts, post, comment or like. You accept the Community Guidelines once before your first post. Every moderation decision names the guideline and the reason, a warning comes first, and you can appeal once to a Super Admin in Profile → Community record.
Why do I follow @tjmiranda?
Every new Geerho account, from any of our apps, starts out following @tjmiranda, Geerho Tech LLC's founder, so you see news and updates in your Following feed. You can unfollow anytime from his profile, and we won't add it back.
How do I search for people and topics?
Use the Search tab: people by name or @username (verified first, with their level), or #topics. With nothing typed you see recent searches, trending topics and people you may know.
Where do I pay for my business's subscription?
On geerho.com/billing. Geerho Tech LLC bills the subscriptions for all our apps (iOtomates Wash, iOtomates Resto and Xenpen) there, in US dollars, by card through Stripe. Sign in with your Geerho account to see every business you run, subscribe, update your card or cancel. In the app, Profile → Subscriptions shows each one's status.
What is my milestone level?
Your level (1 to 50) is one level for every Geerho Tech LLC app: Geerho, iOtomates Wash, iOtomates Resto and Xenpen. You earn XP in any of them, for example 1 XP for opening Geerho each day, posting in Community, paying for a wash or ordering food, and your level shows in all of them. Each person can earn up to 300 XP a day from these actions, so levels stay fair. See Profile → Milestone Level for how to earn XP and your recent XP. Your level is public; your XP is private. XP can't be bought, sold or cashed out.
What is Geerho Rewards?
One points balance for all our apps. When you pay at a business that joined Geerho Rewards in one of our apps (iOtomates Resto today; Wash and Xenpen next), signed in with your Geerho account, you earn 1 point for every whole dollar (up to 500 points a payment). Each business decides what its points buy, like a free drink, and you use them when you order there. Points aren't money: they can't be bought, sold, transferred or cashed out. A refund takes back the points from that payment, and cancelling an order gives back the points you used on it. See your balance and recent points on your Profile in the app, or on geerho.com/account.html.
How do I see how my business is doing?
If you own or manage a business in our apps, sign in to My businesses on geerho.com/businesses.html. It shows the last 7, 30 or 90 days: orders, sales, new and returning customers, regulars who are overdue for a visit, best sellers and come-back reminders. Only you and the people who run the business with you see it. It starts with iOtomates Resto; Wash and Xenpen come next. In the app: Profile → My businesses.
Can I put my Geerho card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet?
When it's available, your Profile shows Add to Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Save to Google Wallet (Android). The card shows your name, @username, whether you're ID-verified, Founding Member, and a QR code of your profile, so someone can scan it to see who you are.
Is there a Geerho widget?
Yes. Add the Geerho widget to your Home Screen (iPhone: touch and hold the Home Screen → Edit → Add Widget; Android: touch and hold the Home Screen → Widgets) to see your unread messages. iPhone also has a Lock Screen widget.
Is there a Geerho sticker pack for Messages?
Yes, on iPhone and iPad. In Apple's Messages app, tap the + (or the apps button) and choose Geerho to send stickers like “Thank you!”, “On my way!”, “Congrats!” and “Salamat po!”. Touch and hold one to stick it on a message.
Can I share photos to Geerho from another app?
Yes, on iPhone. In Photos, tap Share and choose Geerho (up to 10 photos). Next time you open Geerho, pick a chat to send them to.
Can I scan a document instead of attaching a photo?
Yes. In Contact Support, choose Scan a Document: your phone finds the edges, straightens the pages, and attaches them as one PDF.
What are Admin, AI Office, and Company Books?
They're tools only for Geerho Tech LLC's owners and the moderators they appoint, for running the company: moderation, the company's own books and tax records, and AI Office (a weekly report of overall totals and drafts of our own marketing). On the web they're at geerho.com/admin. One more, the Owner Console, is only for Super Admin 1: it manages our other apps for the company (iOtomates Resto, iOtomates Wash and Xenpen: prices, settings, announcements, and pausing a business that has to stop taking orders, during which its subscription isn't charged until it reopens), and every change is logged. Members don't see these tools.
